Get to Know Joe

Joe Fox was born in San Jose, CA (Spanish for St. Joe) Joseph Charles Fox (JC…are we seeing something here?) on August 8th, 1982. His first six years of life he excelled in GI Joe’s and ladies. In kindergarten, he had two girlfirends. As far as GI Joe’s go, he was a real pro. Bases made out of the planet earth much like the Viet Cong. He made best with what was available. It was also at this age he found an idol. Will Clark. The greatest first baseman of all time. And thus began his lifelong love affair with the San Fransisco Giants, the nemesis of the Los Angeles Dodgers (favorite team of his brother Allen).

At the age of six he was moved to Arkansas. Joe had to be shown on a map where this was because he had never heard of it nor fully realized there was another world outside of sunny SoCal. It doesn’t take much imagination to see what happened next: Blonde haired, blue eyed, tan kid comes and invades Little Rock, Arkansas. It took very little time for young Joe to be legendary. It would be like LeBron in college.

Joe Fox entered High School a buxom 105 lbs and 5’2″. He found his astounding athletic career would be taken from him due to simple bad fate. Pre-High School he excelled as a quarterback, pitcher, and, as a point guard for Anthony School, led them to two district finals. With the competitive sports no longer an option in a 6A conference Joe worked on his brain. He read, read, and then read some more. From The Illiad to contemporary works, he turned out books weekly. He also focused on school and graduated with a 3.7. One may read the last few sentences and think this period marked that Joe was some sort book nerd. Not true. As he grew into his own he became the most popular person in school, while remaining true to himself and his journey through philosophical questions, psychological analysis, etc, etc, etc.

He graduated from Catholic High School in the year 2000. A new century for him to dominate. Despite numerous offers from “higher education” schools he chose the University of Arkansas in order to stay close to his family. He could see in his mother’s face that the move to Providence (Brown U) would devastate her. Still fueled creatively he majored in History. He wanted to see the past in order to take from it and apply to his modern day knowledge. This came easy for him. Too easy…

It was at this point that Joe no longer focused on studies, gave into peer pressure and again, women. His fraternity friends introduced him to alcohol and how beneficial it was in sequestering ladies from their poppas for a night of passion. Passion they would never forget. However, Joe was and is a searcher. He was usually single, since it allowed to explore other options and not be tied down. Free spirits don’t like being chained down. A bird in a cage, Joe would not be.

Joe moved to Las Vegas in 2005. This move proved extremely lucrative. He started on a billion dollar job and is now working on a 11.7 billion dollar job. His rise to shear super-stardom as an Engineer has impressed everyone, sometimes even Joe himself.

He also likes to drink red wine.

I’ll never forget the time in college I came home from a long day of classes, only to discover Joe sitting on my couch, drinking beer and watching television. “Uh, where are Rafe and Nathan?” I asked. Joe, not even realizing someone had come in, as he had obviously been drinking for some time (after eating Greek food at that one place he frequented), looked me dead in the eye, casually reached down to his personal cooler, cracked open a cold one and said, “How the fuck would I know?” … I believe he was wearing the infamous Ronaldo jersey.
